About Ian

An experienced local tutor
Ian has been tutoring students across the local area since 2008. He works with students from Year 1 to Year 12.
He supports primary students, high school students, and students who need extra learning support.
His work is one-on-one, in person, and based on each student’s current level.
Ian is a qualified teacher and full-time tutor
Ian is a qualified and experienced teacher.
He has a Bachelor of Science and a Diploma of Teaching. He is also a member of the Australian Tutoring Association. Ian holds a current Working With Children Check.
Tutoring is Ian’s full-time work. It is not a side job or casual extra work. This means families can work with someone who takes tutoring seriously.
Support starts with the student
Every child learns differently. Some students need help catching up, some need support with confidence, and some need extension work because school is not stretching them enough.
Ian starts by looking at where your child is currently working. He then plans lessons that match what they need next.
Ian helps children learn at their pace
Ian enjoys working with children and teenagers. He relates well to students across different ages and learning levels.
He has also worked within the fostering system and other areas of the Ministry of Education. This experience helps him work calmly with students who need patient support.
